Terms of Use
The simple framework for how we work together in the app. If something isn't clear — we're glad to write back.
1. Who we are
Beach4Fun is a service for discovering beaches, planning beach days with friends, and UV and sea-condition information — in Israel and Thailand.
- Operator: Partuck Oren Moshe, an individual sole proprietor registered in Israel as an exempt dealer (osek patur).
- Beach4Fun is the name of the service. It is not a company or any other corporate body.
- "We" and "us" in these terms mean the operator.
By using Beach4Fun you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Account and age
- Accounts. Some features (meetups, groups, chat, direct messages, reports) need an account. Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for what is done through your account.
- Minimum age 16. Beach4Fun is for people 16 and older. You state your age range when you sign up, and it must be true.
- 16–17-year-olds get a protected experience:
- minors and adults are kept apart (friendships, direct messages, groups and meetups), except with a family-linked account;
- their name and photo are not shown to visitors or adults;
- there is no dating.
- Changing your age. You cannot change your age group (16–17, or 18 and older) yourself. Signed up with the wrong age? Write to us.
- Family linking is not currently available for new links.
- Under 16. If we learn that someone under 16 has signed up, we remove the account.
3. Community rules — zero tolerance
There is no place on Beach4Fun for objectionable content or abusive users. Not allowed:
- harassment, threats, bullying, or harming another person;
- hate, racism or incitement against a group;
- sexual content — and absolutely any sexual content involving minors, or any attempt at sexual contact with a minor;
- impersonating a person, an official body (such as a lifeguard, the police or emergency services) or the Beach4Fun team;
- spam, fraud, or illegal content;
- posting other people's personal details without their consent.
4. Enforcement
- Filter. An automatic filter blocks some offensive text before it is posted.
- Removal. Content that breaks these rules is removed.
- Consequences. A user who breaks them may receive a warning, a temporary or permanent restriction, or have their account closed, depending on how serious the violation is.
- What a restriction stops: a restricted account cannot write or edit chat messages, send direct messages or friend requests, follow people, create, join or invite to meetups and groups, post beach reports or non-emergency alerts, upload photos, like, or check in. It can still read, leave, report, send emergency alerts and safety reports (such as jellyfish or flag reports), and delete the account.
- Authorities. Where a minor or a life is at risk we contact the authorities.
- Mistakes. If you think we made a mistake, write to us and a person will look at it again.
5. Reporting content or a user
- What you can report: a profile, a message (beach chat, meetup chat or a direct message, including its photo or voice message), an alert, a beach report, a meetup or a group — with "Report" next to it.
- Review. Every report reaches a human team. Reports about risk to a minor or to life are handled first. Where needed we remove the content and act on the user.
- Abuse of reporting. False or repeated reports meant to harass are themselves a violation.
- Emergencies. Call your local emergency number (Israel: 100 police, 101 ambulance). Beach4Fun is not an emergency service.
6. Hiding on your device
You can hide a user on your device: their messages in beach chat and meetup chats, and their beach presence, will not show on that device. This is not a block — they can still message you (direct messages included) and see you. To stop harassment, report them.
7. Your content
- Ownership. Photos, reports, lists and messages you create remain yours.
- Licence. You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store them and show them inside the service to the relevant people (friends, group members, meetup participants, users of that beach), according to your settings, and to remove them if they break these terms.
- Your responsibility. You are responsible for what you post, and must have the right to post it.
8. Sponsored content
Sponsored content and partners are marked as sponsored and never pose as community content.
9. Safety information
- An aid, not a guarantee. Sea, flag, UV and weather information comes from official sources and from the community, and is only an aid.
- Not a lifeguard. Beach4Fun is not a lifeguard and does not replace on-beach signs and instructions. We cannot guarantee that the information is complete or current.
- Your decision. Deciding to enter the water is your own decision. See Safety & information limits.
10. Deleting your account
- How. You can delete your account at any time — in the app and on the website (Profile → "Delete account").
- What is removed: your profile, messages and photos.
- What is kept: reports you filed or that were filed about you, no longer linked to the account, for up to 12 months after their last activity for community safety, and then deleted.
11. The service, and our responsibility
- As is. The service is free for users. It is provided "as is" and keeps evolving: outages, errors or missing data can happen, and we may change or stop features.
- Limit of liability. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, or for damage caused by relying on beach, sea or weather information, by other users' content or behaviour, or by third-party services (maps, video, sign-in providers).
- What this does not limit: liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence or intent.
12. Changes to these terms
When these terms change we update this page and the date at its top. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you before it takes effect — in the service or by email.
13. Governing law and courts
- Law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel.
- Courts. The competent courts in Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction.
- Users outside Israel keep any rights the mandatory consumer or data-protection laws of their country give them.
14. Language
These terms are published in Hebrew and English. For users in Israel, the Hebrew version prevails if the two differ. For everyone else, the English version applies.
